Sisters Keeping It Real Through Service, Inc. (SKIRTS,Inc.) Spelman College Chapter, is a non-profit collegiate sisterhood that engages in service and the practical application of Spelman College's mission to serve. SKIRTS, Inc. is a community service organization catering to young women in underserved communities. SKIRTS, Inc. conducts a series of workshops designed to promote self-esteem, develop self-awareness, and build professional and leadership skills. In addition, participants attend various functions that allow them to demonstrate their level of growth and maturity. Most importantly, the organization both coordinates and participates in community service projects designed to help others who are less fortunate. SKIRTS, Inc. is committed to exposing its participants to positive experiences that will successfully acclimate them into mainstream society. Trisha was an active member of SKIRTS, Inc. between November 2013 - May 2016. She was a member of external affairs and transferred to collegiate networking her senior year. She has used her experiences with SKIRTS to pinpoint issues she truly cares such as sexual health awareness, healthy relationships, and mentoring youth. Creative activities by SKIRTS have allowed Trisha to exercise her creative skills in event planning in collaboration with her SKIRT sisters.
